The Boeing 757-200 was the original version of the 757 series aircraft. It first entered service with Eastern Airlines in 1983. Although designed for short and medium length routes, the 757-200 has since been used in a variety of roles, ranging from high frequency shuttle services to transatlantic routes. A total of 1,049 Boeing 757's have been delivered.
British Airways is the flag carrier airline of the United Kingdom, and had a total of 61 Boeing 757's in their inventory. This British Airways Boeing 757-200 (registration number G-CPEL) had its maiden flight on 11 April, 1989. It was in service with British Airways from 24 August 1992 to 10 June 2010. It was then sold to Federal Express who converted it into a freighter configuration.
This 1:200 scale Star Jets reproduction of the British Airways Boeing 757-200 is a solid resin, very detailed, difficult to find model. It has excellent British Airways graphics. It comes with the landing gear down configuration and also comes with a display stand. The model is new and only taken out of the box for photographing purposes to better show the quality and detail.
